In over your head? Happens to the best of us.
Whether you bought your system from us or not, tell us where you got stuck. We’ll talk you through it, or send a licensed pro to finish the job.
Three ways we can help
01
Talk it through
Text a photo or video of the problem. Many DIY hang-ups are a five-minute fix once someone who has done hundreds of these takes a look.
02
Pro finish
Mounted the units but don’t want to do the electrical or line connections? A licensed partner installer can finish the job.
03
Rescue visit
System installed but not running right? We’ll set up a service visit with a licensed technician to find the cause.
Quick checks before you call
Only do what you’re comfortable with. If anything involves opening an electrical panel or working on a live circuit, stop and call a pro.
- Nothing turns onCheck the breaker and the outdoor disconnect switch, and put fresh batteries in the remote. Make sure the remote is set to Cool or Heat, not Fan.
- Running but not cooling or heatingGive it 10–15 minutes after start-up. Check that the filters are clean and in place and that the outdoor unit isn’t blocked. On DIY systems, make sure each quick-connect fitting was tightened fully.
- An error code is showingWrite down the exact code and your model number (on the sticker on the side of each unit) and text us both. Codes mean different things on different models.
- Water dripping from the indoor unitThe drain line usually needs to slope downhill the whole way, with no kinks or upward bends. Check the outlet isn’t blocked.
- You smell refrigerant or hear hissing at a fittingTurn the system off and call us. Don’t keep running it.
Have these handy when you reach outModel numbers of the indoor and outdoor units, where you bought it, a photo of each unit and the line connections, and what it’s doing (or not doing).
